Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which Zero Point Studio d.o.o. ("we", "us", or "our") will provide refunds for credits and subscriptions purchased through the Transcript API service. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
2. General Refund Eligibility
Core Refund Rule
We will refund only unused credits within 7 days of purchase. Once credits have been consumed through API usage, they cannot be refunded. After the 7-day window, no refunds will be issued except in the case of service cessation (see Section 7).
To be eligible for a refund, you must:
- Request the refund within 7 days of the purchase date
- Have unused credits remaining in your account
- Not have violated our Terms and Conditions

3. Subscription Refunds
3.1 Monthly Subscriptions
For monthly subscription plans:
- You may request a refund for unused base credits within 7 days of your subscription payment
- The refund amount will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for unused credits only
- If you have consumed any credits from the subscription, only the value of remaining unused credits will be refunded
- You may cancel your subscription at any time, but no refund will be provided after the 7-day window
3.2 Annual Subscriptions
For annual subscription plans:
- You may request a refund within 7 days of your initial annual payment
- The refund will cover only the unused credits at the time of the refund request
- After 7 days, no refunds will be provided for annual subscriptions
- You may cancel at any time, but the subscription remains active until the end of the annual period
3.3 Subscription Cancellation
When you cancel a subscription:
- Your access continues until the end of the current billing period
- No further charges will be made
- Credits will remain available until the end of the billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods unless within the 7-day refund window
4. Top-Up Credit Refunds
For additional credits purchased beyond your subscription base:
- Top-up credits are refundable only if unused and within 7 days of purchase
- Refunds are calculated based on the number of unused credits
- Once any portion of a top-up purchase has been used, only the unused portion may be refunded (within the 7-day window)
- Top-up credits expire at the end of your billing cycle (monthly or annual)
- No refunds are provided for expired top-up credits, regardless of usage
5. Free Credits and Promotional Credits
Non-Refundable Credits:
- 100 free signup credits provided upon registration are non-refundable
- Promotional credits or bonus credits are non-refundable
- Credits received through special offers are non-refundable
- Trial credits or testing credits are non-refundable
6. Refund Process
6.1 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Email us at [email protected] within 7 days of purchase
- Include your account email, transaction ID, and reason for the refund
- We will review your request and respond within 3 business days
- If approved, refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
6.2 Refund Method
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. If the original payment method is no longer available, we will work with you to arrange an alternative refund method.
6.3 Processing Time
Please allow 5-10 business days for refunds to appear in your account after approval. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.
7. Service Cessation Guarantee
Special Refund Protection
In the event that we are unable to continue operations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will provide a full refund for all unused credits on a pro-rata basis.
This guarantee applies regardless of:
- The 7-day refund window
- When the credits were purchased
- Whether credits are from subscriptions or top-ups
We will provide reasonable notice before ceasing operations whenever possible and will process all refunds within 30 days of service cessation.
8. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you dispute a charge with your payment provider (chargeback) instead of contacting us first:
- Your account will be immediately suspended
- All API access will be revoked
- We reserve the right to permanently terminate your account
- You may be liable for chargeback fees and legal costs
We strongly encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] to resolve any billing disputes. We are committed to working with you in good faith to address legitimate concerns.
9. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will NOT be provided in the following situations:
- Refund requests made after the 7-day window
- Credits that have already been consumed
- Free signup credits or promotional credits
- Credits that have expired due to billing cycle completion
- Account termination due to Terms of Service violations
- Account termination due to fraudulent activity
- Dissatisfaction with YouTube's transcript availability
- Third-party issues (e.g., YouTube blocking specific videos)
- User error in API implementation or usage
- Temporary service disruptions or maintenance (unless extended outage)
10. Service Outages and Compensation
In the case of extended service outages:
- Short outages (less than 24 hours) are not eligible for refunds
- Extended outages (24+ hours) may result in credit compensation or pro-rata refunds at our discretion
- Planned maintenance does not qualify for refunds or compensation
- Third-party service disruptions (YouTube API issues) do not qualify for refunds
11. EU Consumer Rights
For consumers in the European Union:
- You have a 14-day right of withdrawal under EU Consumer Rights Directive
- However, by using the Service and consuming credits, you explicitly agree to immediate performance
- Once credits are consumed, the right of withdrawal is waived for those credits
- Unused credits remain eligible for refund within the standard 7-day window or 14-day EU withdrawal period, whichever is longer
12. Changes to Refund Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Material changes will be communicated via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. However, any changes will not affect refund requests submitted before the change date.
13. Relationship to Other Policies
This Refund Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. In case of any conflict, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
