How it works
1channel/videos to walk a creator's recent uploads
2transcript for each, detect "this video is sponsored by…"

about $17–$39/month for creator research tools

Summarize or chat with a single video. Great practice, but YouTube now does this natively, so build it to learn, not as the business.

Three patterns behind most of these
Works from any language, n8n, or your AI assistant via our MCP server. Examples in Python.

return r.json()
WATCHLIST = ["@TED", "@NASA", "@natgeo"]
seen = set() # persist this between runs
for channel in WATCHLIST:
# Free: the channel's latest 15 uploads
for video in get("channel/latest", channel=channel)["results"]:

seen.add(video["videoId"])
# 1 credit, only for new uploads

C
Bulk-fetch a playlist or channel into a knowledge base
●playlist/videos or channel/videos (1 credit per page)
↓transcript (timestamps)
↓your vector store
Powers: Expert knowledge bases, study kits, training data
python
import requests
API = "https://transcriptapi.com/api/v2/youtube"
HEADERS = {"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"}
def get(path, **params):
r = requests.get(f"{API}/{path}", params=params, headers=HEADERS)
return r.json()
def walk(path, **first_page):
"""Page through a whole playlist or channel feed."""
page = get(path, **first_page)
while True:
yield from page["results"]
if not page.get("has_more"):
break
page = get(path, continuation=page["continuation_token"])
# A whole playlist (URL or playlist ID)...
videos = walk("playlist/videos", playlist="PL...")
# ...or every upload on a channel:
# videos = walk("channel/videos", channel="@TED")
for video in videos:
t = get("transcript", video_url=video["videoId"])
# JSON segments with text, start, duration: cite by timestamp
store_chunks(video["videoId"], t["transcript"])
Polling a channel's latest uploads is free, so you pay only for new transcripts
Only successful requests are charged
Bulk-fetch whole playlists and channels, not just single videos
